ISLAMABAD - Capital Cops, in a bid to tighten noose around anti-social elements, have arrested a man from Faisalabad who made threatening call to explode the building of Ministry of Interior and residence of the Minister for Interior.
The person making threatening calls was identified as Tahir Rasheed and was arrested by CID Cops Islamabad, from Faisalabad. PS Secretariat has registered the case against the nabbed accused under 25-D telegraph act.
According to details, a man made a threatening call on 13th December 2010 at official number of Ministry of Interior and warned that the building of Ministry would be exploded within no time. The personnel of law enforcement agencies rushed there and cleared the building after thorough inspection. Following the call, DIG Operations Bani Ameen constituted a special team comprising of cops of CID.
The team, under the supervision of DIG Operations and through assistance of Faisalabad cops, succeeded in arresting the caller from Faisalabad who was later identified as Tahir Rasheed.
DIG Operations Bani Ameen has appreciated the performance of Capital Cops’ CID team while warning that those elements involved in mischievous activities would face stern action.
IGP Islamabad Syed Kaleem Imam, on the other hand, has said that Capital Cops are a competent force in the country and those creating chaos through hoax calls would not be spared. He went on saying that Capital Cops have proved their competence by arresting the person within no time, who was making hoax calls to Ministry of Interior. (Uzma Zafar - Daily Mail)
